An Argentine striker has signed a long-term contract to continue playing for Fiorentina, despite several Premier League clubs showing interest in him last summer.
Brentford was one of the teams that tried to acquire Gonzalez for over €40 million (£36m/$43m), but he decided to stay with Fiorentina. He has made a significant impact, scoring two goals and providing an assist in four Serie A matches this season, earning a spot in the Argentine national team in September.
Despite a recent injury in the Europa Conference League, Gonzalez aims to be fit for Fiorentina’s upcoming match against Frosinone. This decision to stay with Fiorentina was confirmed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
